Fencing & Gates
A fence does three jobs at once — privacy, security, and the first impression of the property. We treat it as a design decision, not a boundary condition.

About this service
Timber, metal and composite fencing options specified for the street and the site. We install decorative and automatic gates that look intentional from the road and function reliably for years. Across Franklin and Pukekohe we coordinate fencing as part of full landscape packages, so palette, scale and access all line up with the rest of the property.

Common questions about fencing & gates.
- Do you install automatic gates?
- Yes — sliding and swing gates with hardwired or solar power, intercom and remote keypad, integrated with the existing driveway surface. We can also retrofit motors to existing manual gates.
- What height fence is best for privacy?
- Most NZ council rules allow 1.8m–2m on a residential boundary without consent, which is enough for privacy when the planting is right. For overlooked sites we'll often combine a 1.8m fence with screening planting behind for a softer outcome than going taller.
- Can fencing be done as part of a wider landscape package?
- That's how we usually work. Fencing, planting and hardscape decisions affect each other; combining them into one scope keeps the materials, alignment and timing coherent.
